I'M HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY OTHER QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE. AS I'M GIVING THE PRESENTATION YOU CAN FEEL FREE TO JUMP IN OR IF THERE'S A SLIDE AT THE END THAT SAYS QUESTIONS. WE COULD DO THAT THERE TOO. FOR ME IT STARTED I JUST WANT TO EXPLAIN A LITTLE BIT OVERVIEW OF WHAT MY SHARE PROGRAM REALLY IS. JUST BASICALLY IN THIS WHERE THERE ARE BIKES AVAILABLE FOR PEOPLE TO CHECK OUT MENUS AND THEN CHECK BACK IN FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO USE. MODERN BIKE SHARE PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR 20 SOME YEARS. THERE IS OLDER MODELS OF BIKE SHARE THAT DIDN'T REALLY FUNCTION WELL ENOUGH TO CONTINUE. A MODERN BIKE SHARE IS BASICALLY YOU HAVE BIKES AT STATIONS WHERE THERE'S A KIOSK AND WE WOULD CHECK IT OUT WITH THE MEMBERSHIP CARD OR USING YOUR CREDIT CARD AND GET A PENPALS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT ON. THOSE ARE KIND OF THE OLDER MODEL NOW. YOU SEE MORE OF THE HYBRID THING OF WHAT WE HAVE HERE IN CARMEL. WHERE THERE'S

NO KIOSK NECESSARILY NEEDED FOR BIKES TO BE CHECKED OUT. PEOPLE USE AN APP ON THEIR PHONE TO CHECK OUT BIKES DIRECTLY. THE APP THEN TRACKS THEM USING THE BIKE THEN THEY RETURN IT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE BIKE WAS APPROPRIATELY LOCKED UP AGAIN. THEN THERE'S ANOTHER TYPE OF BIKE SHARE PROGRAM WHERE IT'S CALLED, DOUGLAS PROGRAM OUR DOCK LIST STATION PROGRAM. WHERE THE BANKS THEMSELVES HAVE ALL OF THE EQUIPMENT ON THEM TO LOCK UP TO THEMSELVES AND STATIONS AREN'T NECESSARILY NEEDED. SOME HAVE GEO-FENCE AREAS WHERE THEY ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO PARK THEIR BIKES. AND THEN THEY ALSO ENCOURAGE THEM TO PARK THEM APPROPRIATELY SO THEY'RE NOT BLOCKING SIDEWALKS OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. BUT, ON THE SLIDE YOU CAN SEE THE BONE ON. WE DO ABOUT STATION BASED PROGRAM USING AN APP. IT'S APT BASED.

SO WHEN WE STARTED LOOKING AT THIS IT WAS PROBABLY ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO. WHAT WE COULD DO TO START A BERKSHIRE POGROM FOR THE CITY OF CARMEL. THAT WAS BACK WHEN THE KIOSK MODEL WAS MORE PREVALENT. THOSE STATIONS ARE A LOT MORE EXPENSIVE BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO HAVE ELECTRICITY CONNECTIONS. THE TECHNOLOGY THAT'S ASSOCIATED WITH THEM. AT THAT TIME THE INDIANAPOLIS PACER SHARE PROGRAM HAD LAUNCHED IN 2014. AND WE STARTED TALKING TO THEM DISABLE WE COULD DO TO MAY BE EITHER EXTEND THEIR PROGRAM OUT TO CARMEL OR HAVE A SISTER PROGRAM WHERE WE COULD MAYBE WORK TOGETHER ON THAT. UNFORTUNATELY THAT DIDN'T PAN OUT. WE STARTED LOOKING INTO WHAT IT WOULD TAKE TO HAVE A CARMEL INDEPENDENT PROGRAM AND ULTIMATELY WE DECIDED WE NEEDED SOMETHING FOR OUR COMMUNITY THAT WOULD BE MORE OF A TURNKEY PROGRAM. WE HAVE A SERVICE AGREEMENT SO THAT THE COMPANY PROVIDES THE BIKES, THE EQUIPMENT AND THEN DOES THE MAINTENANCE AND THINGS LIKE THAT. WE CONTRACTED WITH A NEW COMPANY OR A NEWER COMPANY CALLED ZHANG STIRR. THEY FIT THE NEEDS WE WERE LOOKING FOR.

THEY PROVIDED THE BIKES, THE STATION EQUIPMENT, THE SMART TECHNOLOGY ON THE BIKES. THE APP SOFTWARE FOR PEOPLE TO USE ON THEIR PHONES. THE WEBPAGE, BIKE MAINTENANCE AND REBALANCING WITH A LOCAL MECHANIC. REBALANCING JUST SO YOU KNOW IS IF ONE STATE SHE GETS TOTALLY FULL AND IS OVERFLOWING THEN THERE'S OTHER STATIONS THAT PROBABLY NEED BIKES AND WHEN PEOPLE GET TO THE STATIONS THERE'S NO PLACE TO PARK YOUR BIKE. WE WANT TO MAKE SURE ALL THE STATIONS HAVE BIKES AT THEM AND PLACES TO PARK THEM. THAT'S A REALLY IMPORTANT PART OF BIKE SHARE. ANOTHER THING IS A 24/7 CUSTOMER SERVICE. WHICH IS ASKED ARE ALSO OFFERED. IN 2015, APRIL 2015 WE LAUNCHED OUR FIRST PILOT PROGRAM OF THE BIKE SHARE PROGRAM WITH 2 STATIONS AT CITY CENTER AND ONE OF MONT ON AND MEAN. BRAINARD BIKES AND 6 ADULT TRACKS OF THE TIME. LIKE I SAID THAT WAS A PILOT PROGRAM. FROM THERE WE SAW GROWTH IN THE PROGRAM. FROM 2015 TO 2020. WHERE GREW TO PRETTY MUCH CONSTANTLY HAVING ABOUT 12 STATIONS. THERE WERE DIFFERENT PARTNERS THROUGHOUT ITS EXISTENCE. AND, 9 DIFFERENT SPONSORS OR PARTNERS. THERE WERE 8200 BIKES IN THE PROGRAM. THAT VARIED BECAUSE YOU HAD OLD BIKES FILTERING OUT A NEW BIKES FILTERING IN AND THEN THE NUMBER OF BANKS THAT A SPONSOR WOULD PROVIDE. IT COULD FLUCTUATE A LITTLE BIT. WE TYPICALLY HAD SOMEWHERE IN THAT ZONE OF ABOUT HUNDRED. THE SPONSORS VARIED BUT, WE HAD PARTNERS LIKE CLAY TOWNSHIP, CARMEL CLAY PARKS AND RECREATION, ALLEGIANT, HEADQUARTERS, THE MARKET DISTRICT, VILLAGE OF WESLEY HAD A STATION. CLAY TERRACE WAS A GOOD STATION. HAMILTON COUNTY TOURISM IS A GOOD PARTNER FOR US. CARS, HEADQUARTERS PUT IN A STATION AND OPENED ON MARCH 2020. IN MARCH 2020 IS WHEN WE HAD TO SHUT DOWN, WE DID HAVE TO COME UP WITH THAT IT WAS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF PUBLIC HEALTH TO SHUT DOWN OUR STATION BECAUSE WE STILL THOUGHT TOUCHING THINGS WAS A WAY THAT THE VIRUS WAS GETTING SPREAD.

WE WERE THE ONLY ONES THAT DID THAT. BASICALLY ALL OF ZACH STIRR'S PROGRAMS SHUT DOWN DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. THAT ON TOP OF MAYBE SOME OTHER THINGS LED TO THEM IN 2020 SENDING US A NOTICE OF TERMINATION FROM JUST THEIR BUSINESS. AT THAT TIME WE MUTELY STARTED LOOKING INTO WHAT IT WOULD TAKE TO CONTINUE OFFERING THIS AS AN AMENITY TO THE COMMUNITY. WE REACHED OUT TO A LOT OF DIFFERENT COMPANIES THAT HAVE A LOT OF DIFFERENT MODELS FOR HOW TO RUN A BIKE SHARE PROGRAM. WE ENDED UP SIGNING A SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH TANDEM MOBILITY. THEY WERE CAPABLE OF HAVING A STATION BASED TURNKEY PROGRAM. VERY SIMILAR TO THE WAY ZACKS

ERRS WAS RUNNING. THEY KNEW THE IN AND OUT OF RUNNING A BIKE SHARE PROGRAM LIKE THAT.

THERE'S DIFFERENT TYPES OF MEMBERSHIPS. THERE'S ANNUAL, MONTHLY AND A PAY-AS-YOU-GO MEMBERSHIP. MIGHT BE TOUGH TO SEE UP THERE.

THE ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP IS $30. WITH THAT YOU GET YOUR FIRST HOUR FREE THEN IT'S A DOLLAR 50 FOR EVERY HALF HOUR AFTER THAT. I THINK MEMBERSHIP IS $15 PER MONTH. AND THEN YOU GET YOUR FIRST HOUR FOR FREE AND IT'S DOLLAR 50 PER HALF HOUR AFTER THAT. THEN PAY-AS-YOU-GO IT'S SIMPLE. YOU GET YOUR MEMBERSHIP AND YOU PAY A DOLLAR 50 PER HALF-HOUR. THEN LAST YEAR, WE COLLECTED $11,746 IN REVENUE. TO KIND OF OFFSET THAT COST FROM OUR SERVICE AGREEMENT. WHEN WE SIGNED THE SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH THEM WE WERE ABLE TO LAUNCH OUR PROGRAM WITH NEW STATIONS. BASICALLY FAMILIAR STATION FROM HIS EXTRA PROGRAM WITH THE ADDITION OF MIDTOWN. MIDTOWN WAS FULLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION BEFORE THIS TAG STIRR PROGRAM WAS ABLE TO PUT A NEW STATION IN THERE. WE HAD A STATION AT MONT ON AND MAINE. CITY CENTER AND RANGE LINE IN FRONT OF MACK AND MILLER. THERE'S A STATION IN CITY CENTER BUT IT'S TEMPORARY CLOSE WHILE THE AREAS BE RECONSTRUCTED. THERE'S ONE HERE AT CITY HALL AND CENTRAL PARK. THERE IS ALWAYS OPPORTUNITY TO EXPAND THE PROGRAM WITH SOME OF OUR PREVIOUS PARTNERS AND SPONSORS. THERE ARE NEW DISTRICTS THAT PROVIDE GOOD LOCATIONS FOR ADDITIONAL STATIONS BE LOCATED. WHEN THE LIBRARY WAS COMING THROUGH FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT WE TALKED TO THEM ABOUT HAVING A STATION AND THEY HAVE A LOCATION WHERE COULD BE LOCATED IN THE FUTURE AT SOME POINT. SO, JUST TO GET INTO THE NUMBERS FOR RIDERSHIP.

LAST YEAR WE SAW ABOUT 4200 TRIPS WHICH SINCE WE LAUNCHED IN MAY SIXTH OF 2020 OR SINCE WE LAUNCHED MAY 6 OF LAST YEAR. THAT'S ABOUT 8 MONTHS WORTH OF TRIPS. WE EXPECT TO SEE THAT NUMBER BE HIGHER FOR NEXT YEAR. BEING USED HOPEFULLY. THEN THERE WERE 4409 HOURS WRITTEN.

THE PACER SHARE AS COMPARISON THEY HAVE TO GET GRANTS OR BIG SPONSORSHIPS FROM DONORS TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE THEIR PROGRAM.
